After the chiropractor has reviewed your case history and examination results, a diagnosis and treatment plan will be fully explained to you and written consent will be obtained from you before any treatment commences. You will be able to ask any questions prior to signing the consent. The chiropractor will discuss how many treatment sessions you may need and also any possible side effects to treatment.
Depending on your condition, the chiropractor may manipulate parts of your spine or joints to improve the function of the joints, relieving pain and muscle spasm. Apart from manipulation, your chiropractor may use a variety of techniques including ice; soft tissue techniques; LLLT, exercise and advice about posture and lifestyle.
